Think about what if no one in this world had grit in their lives? No one would work hard, we would not get proper food and more importantly we would not be able to survive. Grit is the word that can be defined as ability to overcome failure and continue to work toward success.
I am with the grit not always the same person with most natural ability, but my work ethic and ability to overcome obstacle allows me to achieve success. I have grit by being resilient, demonstrating courage and setting long-term goals.
I show grit by being resilient. I have learned the value of grit. Working through difficult customer support questions and keeping on top of other projects are opportunities for me to show grit. One specific example is working to help customers through challenging situations. I have to both feel empathy for the customer and also help them find a solution to their problem. Finding a simple solution can take a lot of time. However, I always have to grind through to find the solution and help the customer. The process can be tedious, but it’s rewarding to satisfy a customer.
Furthermore, I also have grit by demonstrating courage. I am courageous! I have the ability to stand up for myself, whatever I believe in, and what I think is right. Being courageous also makes me feel like I can get done whatever goals I have set for myself. It also helps me believe that anything in this world is possible to achieve if you have courage to go out. I believe having courage has helped me out greatly to get where I am today and stay focus on what I need to accomplish for tomorrow.
In addition to resilience and courage, I also have grit by setting long-term goals. My specific long-term goal is to obtain my BBA. I have also set my time for my assignments and study time in order to obtain it. Although for most it might not be that much since more and more professionals have at least two BBA’s and a Master’s degree, for me this has been what I wanted. There have been too many barriers in my life that have kept me from obtaining BBA but I will not give in until I get it. I have made this what I want for my self-satisfaction.
