The most sensitive issue in Malaysia is smoking. There are different types of things to smoke for example vape, hookah, and cigarettes. Smoking is common problem in Malaysia which is killing people. Most people start this habit because of work stress and personal problems even though now days school students also start smoking because of bad people influence. Smoking cigarettes can become an addiction for peoples who are start smoking in young age. When someone smokes they not spoil only them their spoil the people who surrounded them too. There are three effect of smoking cigarettes which are human health, environment, and cost.
Firstly, smoking cigarettes will affect to a human health. There to are a lot of comparer within non-smoker and smoker. For examples smoker easily and faster will get diseases compare to a non-smoker. The major diseases of smoking are cancer and heart diseases. There is are some symptoms to find from smoker to find out they are facing this disease which there will difficult to breath, day by day the weight of body will reduce and there is no cure for this disease. According to Kandasamy (2015) Every year about 850 000 new cancer cases are diagnosed, resulting about 580 000 cancer related.
Secondly smoking can cause environment pollution by realising toxic. The toxic chemical will seep into soil and water ways because of this animals and plants absorb the toxic substances from the cigarettes and that will affect the environment. Furthermore, smoking also will cause air pollution by the air of volumes. And, the toxic will mix in good air and the smoke will pollute in different types of way. According Rinkesh (2018) producing of carbon dioxide 2.6 billion kilograms and 5.2 billion kilograms of methane per year in atmosphere.
Lastly, cost of smoking cigarettes, is waste of money and not important expense to the humans and community in Malaysia. Smoking can be separate in direct cost and indirect cost. For each of every smoker is direct cost the money they spend for cigarettes and additional cost of medical treatment also can been take as direct cost. The humans are spend more money for cigarettes compare to for their own and families According BMJ Journals (2011) parliament raised the minimum price further to MYR0.35 per cigarette, MYR7.00 per 20-stick pack. If this smoking habits continue by the populations for 20 years, the country will face a lot of loss of population.
The conclusion of the effect of smoking cigarettes is bad for health and to the environment from the effect of human health, environment and cost. It can make the environment damaged in future generation as the population might be reduce due to smoking addiction. Smoking in young age will cause early death. As well as the government should take immediate action for instance like doing a campaign or an advertisement or any type of event regarding on smoking issues which can cause chronic effect for give knowledge on the environment and human health to avoid from to issue.
