The invention of the printing press in 1445 was about handwritten manuscript copies of books that were still continued to be made in the 16th century. One of the most significant inventions that changed the world of literature and more was the invention of the printing press made by Johannes Gutenberg. In the 1450’s, he had revolutionized the world by inventing this but what truly was the most important consequence of the Printing Press? One of the consequences of the printing press was greater knowledge in geography and location like in Document 2. It shows a map of the Locations of Printing Press’ in 1471 and then in the 15 hundreds. A very big difference. If it wasn’t for the printing press, the establishment of colonies and new lands would have had a delay or possibly never would have happened which would then change the whole world on a large scale.
