Paraphrasing is a technique that most researcher use when they use someone’s information where they have to cite the source of that information but when citations appear at the end of every sentence it looks weird. The APA citation style however needs someone to let a reader know when they use another’s information every time they use it and APA doesn’t see it stuffiest when someone cites at the end of a paragraph. Therefore it is advisable that a person when writing information that doesn’t belong to the they insert the citation at the beginning of the paragraph s this will notify the reader that the information about to be used is not users and it will be much more easier to refer to your source as you write. This technique is illustrated as follow;
Sample 1;
Wetland health is perfectly indicated by the frogs because of their sensitivity to pH changes that result from acid rain and other forms of pollution. When one see frogs that have some kind of deformities they can ascertain that the wetland in that region is bad or if frogs are seen to plummet a region population wise (Willemssen, 2010).
Sample 2;
Wetland health is perfectly indicated by the frogs because of their sensitivity to pH changes that result from acid rain and other forms of pollution (Willemssen, 2010). When one see frogs that have some kind of deformities they can ascertain that the wetland in that region is bad or if frogs are seen to plummet a region population wise (Willemssen, 2010).
Sample 3;
Wetland health is perfectly indicated by the frogs because of their sensitivity to pH changes that result from acid rain and other forms of pollution. According to a study by Willemssen, (2010) when one see frogs that have some kind of deformities they can ascertain that the wetland in that region is bad or if frogs are seen to plummet a region population wise).
In sample 2, that is bad citation and someone should attempt that, sample 2 is okay in respect to APA style but looks ugly while sample 3 is the best way to cite information and it observes APA style requirements.
